Mexican food in Canby

Griffin's nap took us down I-5 today so we decided to find something to eat. We ended up in Canby and found a great Mexican place. It was seriously a hole in 4 walls. Griffin enjoyed his refried beans eventually but was still waking up from his nap.

24th and Meatballs

Balls, balls, balls!!

We joined Jenny and Sydney today for some balls. Griffin had some of the chicken meatballs with cheesy sauce. As usual, he had a death grip on the focaccia. The waffle balls were another big hit!!

Shigezo

You may see a theme here - another Japanese restaurant. Not only do we love Japanese food but it is super easy to feed Griffin too.

Tonight he enjoyed hot fried tofu, Kara-Age (fried chicken) and edamame (of course).

He really wanted dad's plum beer but he had 20 more years to go. Instead, he got to beat the drum for good luck.

Curried cauliflower and potatoes

Aloo gobi- the Indian name for this dish. Griffin has tried curry before so it wasn't entirely new to him. This was my first time making this dish and he was very forgiving. He insisted on doing it himself.

More green smoothies - video

Banya Sushi

Griffin's favorite restaurant is Banya. The owner, Sun, loves him. She brings him tofu and miso. Today was the first time he drank the miso soup. He went to town on the tofu, yakitori and broccoli. He finished his meal with some fried bananas (sans fried panko).

Tofu yum!

Yakitori
YEAH!!

Let's get this party started - with a green mustache!

When I say gimme more it means you did good, mom. This green concoction is very tasty and the cold feels excellent on my sore gums. What do you mean there is kale, apple juice, peaches and yogurt in it? Sure is tasty!
